Gold Star Service Contract
This page explains everthing that is included in the Gold Star Service Agreement. At the bottom of this page is a printable version of the text, as well as an online application form that will help our dedicated office team to create your own tailored servicing agreement. Items Covered By Total Maintenance Agreement
• Inspection Visits
• All replacement parts (where applicable): Motor, Gearbox, Compressor, Pumps, Bearings, Drive Belt,
Electrical Components etc (excluding vandalism)
• FREE call out
• Clearance of up to ** third-party blockages: treatment plant & pump station only (where
applicable)
• Service visits(s) per year with detailed service reports
• All travel costs and expenses
• All consumables (excluding vandalism)
• All labour costs
• Cancellation Type A/B - please see below
What Is Included In My Service Agreement?
Electrical Testing...
• Electrical health check of pumps/motors etc via megga meter phase-to-earth and phase-to-phase.
This is to build trends to determine any deterioration in electrical insulation.
• Amps drawn via clamp meter to compare with manufacturers recommendations and electricity trip
rating.
• Voltage/current trace through components.
• All panel components for integrity, duty assist/changeover operation.
• Alarm tests when applicable for:
- Pump Trip
- Hi-Level
- Loss of Pressure
- Loss of Rotation
- Loss of Power
Mechanical Testing...
• Mechanical test of following items when applicable:
- Pumps for blockages, defects, oil leaks etc
- Hanging chains for corrosion
- Floats for current depth, operating stroke
- Pipework for splits, corrosion
- Check valve for correct operation
- Drive trains for alignment
- Guide rails
• Bacterial processes for correct growth (Sewage Treatment Plant).
• Physical test of lid, frame and surrounding area.
• Visual inspection of the whole systwm for defects.
• Any causes for concern put forward to customer.
• Detailed service report provided
Optional
• Desludge Management (This helps to maximise efficiency of plant and keep within discharge
consent levels)
• Sampling (Effluent quality samples via accredited laboratories).
Servicing Visits
N.B. For the owners of Conder CT6 and Conder CT12 sewage treatment plants, an annual pump replacement will be included as part of all Gold Star Service Contracts and undertake at the time of the service visit.
If on annual service, or a breakdown call out under a Gold Star Service Contract units are assessed as being faulty due to flood water ingress, blocked drains or power failures/surges caused by external 3rd parties then MPC Services (UK) Limited reserve the right to pass on any subsequent costs for the repair of the units and any tankering charges for the removal of accumulated waste water to the customer.
Cancellation Fees
Type A - No remedial works carried out within 30 days before or after contract commences. If cancelled in the 1st year - 100% 1st year, 75% 2nd year and 50% 3rd year payable. If cancelled in the 2nd year - 100% 2nd year, 75% 3rd year payable. If cancelled in the 3rd year - 100% 3rd year payable.
Type B - Remedial works carried out within 30 days before or after contract commences, or remedial works included in Gold Star Contract, 100% of remaining periods chargeable, regardless of year in which contract is cancelled.

MPC Services (UK) Limited reserve the right to view tankering receipts at any time deemed necessary in order to establish this has been complied with All new Service Contracts are only agreed by MPC Services (UK) Limited as valid once a satisfactory site survey has been undertaken to establish the unit is fully operational. Should this survey reveal remedial work is required, then the Contract shall only be effective once this work has been satisfactorily completed. |
